You can use the Reolink E1, a PTZ security camera that offers fantastic security features. This device has motion sensor lights and sirens and provides smooth video playback to monitor the activities you may have missed.

Video
The video quality of the Reolink E1 outdoor camera is clear, with a super HD resolution of 2560 x 1920 and a 5-megapixel shooter. One of the reasons the camera is unique is its f=2.8-8mm autofocus lens, with a focal length of F1.6 and an IR cut. It demonstrates that the camera can take photos and detect fast movements in any lighting situation.
The left and right sides of the home were recorded from a stationary posture after the Reolink E1 outside installation was completed. This security camera has impressive panning, tilting, and zooming angles; it can tilt and pan up to 55 and 355 degrees. So, even if your building is large, the quick panning will ensure you can see what’s happening around your home, office, or store.
I should also add that the Super HD format of the Reolink E1 zoom security camera is similar to the video quality that Netflix offers. The device’s 3x optical zoom ensures that you see up to 40ft away from where you installed it during the day and at night. Before confirming the durability of this camera, I tested its waterproofness, and it can withstand rain and sunlight owing to its metal outer casing.
Connection
The Reolink E1 supports a wireless connection. It has a dual WiFi band connection of 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, so you don’t have to bother about video upload and playback performance and speed. Because of the dual WiFi band, there is less interference and improved connectivity.
I appreciate the camera’s versatility and attempt to ensure user convenience by providing two connection options. Setting it up requires a Reolink E1 outdoor PoE. Wires are another alternative. It’s a tedious process because you have to install a mounting bracket. You have to wait for a five-minute-long software upgrade on first use.
Installation
This Reolink E1 zoom review would be incomplete without a setup instruction. The device is easy to install; you can place it on flat surfaces if you don't want to mount it on a wall. I was impressed when I unboxed the camera because it came with a mount, screws, two Ethernet ports, a strap (if you want a screwless connection), and a power adapter. It also came with an Ethernet and power extension cable.
After mounting your device, follow the next steps for the Reolink E1 installation:
- Download the Reolink mobile app.
- Plug the camera into a power source using the PoE or power brick out of the box.
- Connect the camera to your device's network by scanning the QR code underneath it.
- Follow the camera's voice prompt.
- On your screen, a barcode will display, which you should scan with your camera.
- Afterward, the camera will start streaming what's happening around to your phone.
